The Camiguin Polytechnic State College (CPSC) conducted an In-house Review and Evaluation of Research and Extension Proposals on June 8-9, 2023 via Zoom Teleconference. The activity aimed to enhance the quality and relevance of the research and extension projects/studies proposed by the faculty members of various institutes of the college.

The research proposals were assessed by a panel of experts from the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP), consisting of Dr. Angelo Mark P. Walag, Dr. Demetria B. Saniel, Dr. Richelle E. Relox, Dr. Jocelyn B. Barbosa, Dr. Renante B. Taylaran and Engr. Clark Darwin M. Gozon. They provided constructive feedback and recommendations to improve the research proposals in terms of objectives, methodology, budget, expected outputs and outcomes.

The participants were 19 faculty researchers from the Institute of Agriculture, Institute of Engineering and Computer Science, Institute of Technology, Institute of Arts and Sciences, Institute of Teachers Education and Institute of Business and Governance. They presented their research proposals on various topics such as crop production, environmental engineering, disaster risk reduction, social sciences, education and tourism management.

The In-house review was hosted by the Research Development and Extension Office (RDE) spearheaded by Engr. Erecson S. Solis, OIC Director for the Research and Innovation and Dr. Cerenia B. Galagar, Director for Extension and Training Services. The activity was also attended by the College President Dr. Macario B. Oclarit and the Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Nena V. Siaboc. Others present were Ms. Stephanie K. Chan and Mr. Regie Lloren as Break-Out Rooms Moderators, Ms. Jenevev E. Torrentira, RDE Staff and Ritzsheel R. Estorioso as Masters of Ceremony.

The In-house review is an annual activity to strengthen the research culture and support to the mission of CPSC as an institution of higher learning that provides higher professional, technical and special instructions for special purposes and promotes research and extension services, advanced studies and progressive leadership in agriculture, forestry, engineering, arts and sciences, and other relevant studies.
