Thirteen (13) Faculty members and staff from different institutes and units of the college actively participated as writers in the formulation of contingency plan for volcanic eruption in the province of Camiguin which was held on April 12-15, 2023 at the Camiguin Convention Center, Mambajao, Camiguin.

The main objective of the said activity is to craft a contingency plan before, during and after a volcanic eruption particularly that of Mt. Hibok-Hibok. Stakeholders from different local government units, academe, national agencies and civil societies took part in the brainstorming and validating data incorporated in the plan. The Local Government Unit of Camiguin, Department of Science and Technology and the Office of the Civil Defense gave their full support to this multisectoral engagement.
